Support Our Students

The Support Our Students program is a scholarship program for secondary school students. This program allows donors a new way to participate on a more personal level and help one of Sister Patricia's high school age orphans. The program matches secondary school age children with donors , who then in turn support them. On a financial level "Support Our Students" will entail paying the living and school expenses for a child for one year. On a spiritual level it will involve corresponding with the child and offering prayers and encouragement, which Sister Patricia has said, these children so desperately need. The program will allow the children to pursue higher education and result in a long term investment in their future as well as that of Rwanda which lost so many of its educated professionals in the 1994 genocide.

The cost to sponsor a child for one year is $400. This covers high school tuition, room and board , clothes and medical expenses. Donors will receive a picture and biography of their student. Correspondence with the child is encouraged. Please contact Bridge to Rwanda today to support a student.

Dear Supportive family,

It is with great joy that I write this letter to introduce myself and thank your for your gesture on my behalf. My name is Rubayiza Themistocles. I was born in 1989 in Gatsito in the north eastern part of Rwanda. My family was poor and could not support me. I have raised my self and tried to earn money to attend school. Unfortunately I had to stop my studies due to lack of funds. I was in my fourth year of secondary school in the veterinary medicine section. I am theref ore very happy that you have permitted me to resume my studies. I thank you with all my heart. I pray that our Lord blesses you and that God guides you and aides you in all your pursuits.   Dear parents I look foreword to the pleasure of hearing from you soon. Please accept my devoted sentiments and salutations to all your family on my behalf. Again thank you and God bless.
